The Timing of Meals at Inter-Cities
What I have always been baffled by is the timing of the meal-break. No EBU event requires players to eat a full meal at 4pm
It's such an odd time to eat. I find myself either skipping lunch so that I can eat it, or skipping the meal and being a bit
anti-social. Might it not be better to have a meal or sandwiches on arrival? This would fit in with eating schedules and also
make lunch easier for people who have to travel a long way. We could always have a teabreak in the middle if necessary.

I’ve never understood why we have dinner at all. Even for the longest journeys, people are hardly going to starve. Cake or
biscuits on arrival, then bring on the bridge. It’s not even as though opposing teams socialise during the meal break.

Could not agree more with Martin and Sarah that meals be given another look. In fact, why not scrap them completely.
Tea and biscuits on arrival and the same at half way (even after three rounds) would be ample for most players.
Those needing something extra could bring with them a sandwich or an apple.
This new way of doing things would give many benefits:
Cheaper bridge for the participants
Lots less work for the home team
Save time
Help some of us to lose weight
Personally I find lots of mistakes are made after consuming a meal (blood moving from the head to the stomach)
Yorkshire, please consider everything with regards the ‘eating’
